Position: Facility Manager

We are currently seeking to recruit a Facility Manager, to be based at our Head Offices in Nicosia.


Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Facility Management operations in Cyprus and overseas, across a multi-site operation, in order to create a safe work space for partners, employees, clients, contractors and visitors.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Group facilities in Cyprus and overseas, travel locally and abroad to oversee supervision of various projects and technicians.
  • Select, train, develop, coach and manage maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair and preventive maintenance, ensuring the team has the tools and training to perform effectively in their positions.
  • Develop and sustain building and equipment maintenance practices and systems.
  • Plan, budget, and schedule facilities modifications and upgrades including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction.
  • Review, track, and submit for payment all service invoices and maintains budget cost sheets.
  • Coordinate facility repairs and upgrades, for all facilities.
  • Responsible for construction designs and plans for minor and major remodelling projects, new developments and facility improvements.
  • Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
  • Schedule and document routine and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Plan and execute non-routine maintenance/repair activities.
  • Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with external service providers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • University Degree in Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration will be considered an advantage
  • Member of Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber ( ETEK)
  • Minimum +5 years previous working experience in a similar position, preferably in the field of Electrical and Maintenance Engineering of multiple sites
  • A strong affinity to hands on execution and deep practical technical understanding
  • Motivated and enthusiastic personality willing to work and assist with any type of responsibility provided
  • Be able to multitask, work efficiently, work to close deadlines and handle challenging situations
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in English and Greek
  • Advanced people management and leadership skills with proven ability to influence at all levels
  • Exceptional financial and purchasing skills
  • Ability to travel as needed

Remuneration

A very attractive package of remuneration will be offered to the successful candidate based on industry knowledge, experience and qualifications. In addition the successful candidate will be able to join company’s provident fund.
